The Strange Aeons by Clone-Artist The Strange Aeons by Clone-Artist
A fake cover for a fake Doctor Who book.

The book is a short story anthology that features The Doctor and his adventures with creatures and monsters from the Cthulhu Mythos lore.
So here you will find: Dimensional Shamblers, Hounds of Tindalos, Yithians, Star Vampires and one little boy whom the Doctor showed the (unfortunately) dark (and strange) side of Aeons.

You guessed: The boy's name is Howard.

Unfortunately the picture is in low res, but it is the only one I have at the moment. Later I will upload one with a higher resolution.

NOTE: This is for a Cover Competition.

EDIT: I've changed resolution a bit and added larger title.

Azathoth: YOU ARE OUT OF RANGE OF YOUR DATA PLAN. PREPARE TO PAY...A NOMINAL FEE.
Doctor: No...No! Howard! I want you to listen to me! We have to get away from this monstrosity! He must be working with the lost Timelords of the Wa-rner Cabal sector!

I have been working out a Lovecraftian Doctor Who story for a while now. It involves Paul McGann's 8th Doctor and Yog Sothoth. Maybe one day I'll get around to actually writing it!

It looks somewhat related to the Black Slime Beast in the Ghostbusters video game.

The New Adventures such as white Darkness and all-consuming fire depeict the 7th doctor battling Cthulhu and Azathoth. The Doctor also mention Nyrlahotep in one novel. It's also said that Fenric from Curse of Fenric, one of my favoirte doctor Who episodes, is Hastur the Unspeakable.

Cuz it is said that when Cthulhu turns over in his sleep 1000s of psychics die in agony. and timelords are a wee bit psychic....

I know, right? Cthulhu mytos is full of monsters and places that are just begging to be used in Dr. Who. Some of them would be very worthy opponents to The Doctor.

I guess the Yog-Sothoth has somthng to say against that crossover. (Him and BBC). :)

Well I might be just the teensiest bit biased as I love the seventh Doctor, Ace and Bernice Summerfield and this story has all three fighting voodoo zombies and nazi scientists.

You might want to google the Great Intelligence for the stories with it in.

It's not the best of the series but it's definitely a great read but be warned you may end up wanting to read all the other books in the series as a result :P
