if i recall correctly the moon beasts didn't have any mouths, except maybe where it would be found on the center of their pinkish tentacles, Mnomquah is described as having empty sockets in place of eyes, but for alien-ness i imagine Mnomquah should have a ring of empty sockets that work like respiratory intakes, while Mnomquah would perceive stuff with it's crown of writhing tentacles, and each tip of it's tentacles would glow with bioluminescence.
